The Annual Meeting will be hosted for the 47th consecutive year by the Computer Forum at the Arrillaga Alumni Center at Stanford University. The four-day event will present opportunities for our industrial partners to hear about latest developments in timely and critical areas of technology.

Day 1 Security Workshop
The Annual Security Workshop, now in its 16th year, will present cutting edge research on computer security from the Stanford Security Lab. Topics include web security, security for embedded devices and mobile phones, operating systems, code analysis, secure user interfaces, cryptography, and many others. The workshop is organized by Professors Dan Boneh and John Mitchelland will involve talks from faculty and PhD students. April 27, 2015

Day 2 The Computer Science 50th Anniversary - In Service to the World

In lieu of the of the traditional Plenary Session & Poster Session, the Computer Forum is organizing the Computer Science 50th Anniversary.

 

The Computer Science 50th Anniversary will feature prominent speakers and panelists including faculty and founders of innovative companies, the event will be an enlightening and engaging day for alumni, industry members, and faculty. The symposium is chaired by Professor Andrew Ng and Executive Director, Connie Chan. 

 

Through talks and panel discussions, faculty members, alumni and entrepreneurs will examine the Department's past, present and future as well as its influence beyond campus in industry. University President, Professor John Hennessy, will cap the talks with a closing address. The day also includes lunch and concludes with a festive cocktail reception and demos by our computer science students.

 

*Due to space availability, registration is limited to two representatives per company (Stanford alum preferred). *

Day 3 Data Science Workshop
This workshop will be the kickoff event for our new Stanford Data Science Initiative (SDSI).This campus-wide initiative focuses on the fundamental challenges of data, computation, information, and statistics.Its goal is to conduct world-leading research in data science and its applications, in an open and collaborative environment. The workshop will cover some of the exciting new projects sponsored by SDSI, and well as discuss some of the open research issues. The Data Science Workshop is organized by Prof. Hector Garcia-Molina.

Day 4 AI Workshop
This workshop will focus on cutting edge research on artificial intelligence from the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL) and will include talks on selected topics from robotics, computer vision, geometric computing, machine learning, natural language processing, logic, game theory and bioinformatics. The workshop is organized by Professors Silvio SavaresePercy Liang, and Chris Manning and will involve presentations from faculty and PhD students.
